About the Author

Charles Taylor retired in 1998 from the Professorship of Pastoral Theology at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific and the Graduate Theological Union. After twenty years of teaching and ten years of parish ministry, he is now engaged in writing, leading workshops, and doing pastoral care.
